Community Involvement

Serving the community is a priority for the members of the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland and its charitable arm, The Home Builders Foundation of Metropolitan Portland (HBF). During 2003 the Foundation established high school and college scholarships available to high school students in the five county Portland area. They also created a HomeAid chapter in the Portland area. In addition to the charitable activities of the Home Builders Foundation, the Association and its members support local charities through many different activities. Education and workforce development are important focuses for the HBA and its foundation. The HBA has partnered with other trade associations in Portland to create the NW College of Construction.
