In April of 2010, the EPA’s Lead-Based Renovation, Repair and Paint rule went into effect. This rule applies to all contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978. This class provides the education in work practices to prevent lead contamination that each contractor must receive in order to be granted certification to work in these environments.
